     Etihad Airways is the national flag carrier of UAE. Came into operation in 2003 its one of the few airlines which have come up with the rank very fast to become one of the best Airlines in the world.

1. MEANING

The word ‘Etihad’ translates to “united” in English and Arabic. It reflects its country ‘United Arab Emirates which itself is a combination of 7 emirates including Dubai, Sharjah, and the capital Abu Dhabi. It is a flag carrier of UAE, and first flew to ‘Al Ain’ in UAE as a ceremonial flight.

Although the Airline is a 5-star airline but when judged on its food, entertainment, and staff service it’s rated 5 on 10 according to Skytrax.

Even many customers have complained about the staff services stating “they behave like they don’t want to work here”

Even after the complaints that were filed, officials haven’t replied to it or took any actions towards it.

Etihad has sponsorships in a lot of different areas, for example,  it sponsors British rugby teams ‘Harlequins RL’ and ‘FC

It owns a stake of 49% in ‘air Serbia’ and ‘Alitalia’ which almost makes Etihad the owner of respective.

They also acquired ‘Dockland Stadiums’ and ‘Manchester City FC’ and renamed it to ‘Etihad stadium

They also sponsored the ‘Abu Dhabi Grand Prix’ which was held in Yas islands in 2007.

IATA stands for ‘international air transport association’ which provides the necessary training required for the staff in aviation. Along with it supports by providing a safe, secure, and reliable air traveling experience to customers all over the world . To keep in check of the airline it provides it with a code. The IATA code for the airlines is ‘EY’, where ‘E’ stands for ‘Etihad’.

Etihad provided their ‘boing A-308’ for converting them to a containment zone for the corona virus infected patients. They also add rescue flight for their stranded citizens across the world amid corona virus.
